As much as the later Wartburgs are still entertaining, they don't have that "Morris Minor by way of a stoned/drunk East German" look to them. More of a lumpy Fiat sensibility.

Well, if you HAVE to drive a dirty, underpowered 2-stroke with questionable build quality, it might as well look really pretty.
Unfortunately, AWE eventually realized that they had accidentally incorporated too many redeeming qualities into this car and later Wartburgs corrected that oversight.
